Introduction

Accountants are part of any organization and are important because the monetary aspects of the company are handled by them. They must be able to interact with various types of individuals and through different departments. They are also expected to use different methods, one of most prominent one among them is MS Excel. They must have the requisite skills & know when and how to use it productively. Here, we introduce a mini workshop on “excel skills for accountants” which can give students the practice on basic essential tools in excel.

About the Facilitator

Ms. Thasneem is an ACCA Affiliate, graduated with B. Com (Honors) from a Birla Institute of Technology and currently pursuing her MSc. In Professional Accountancy from University of London. She has rich experience in accounting industry as well in academia. She had trained a good number ACCA aspirants and could produce great results with 80 plus per cent of them cleared the examinations in the first attempts. Currently, she is in the role of assessor and internal verifier for the SQA Units with University of Stirling, RAK Campus. Ms. Thasneem’s areas of teaching: Book-keeping and Accounting, IFRS, Finance, Micro and Macro Economics.
