University Sports & Cultural Event Manager

Education & Experience

Associate degree and three years of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience.

Previous events planning experience in an academic environment a plus.

Job Description

• Maintaining and developing the University Events Calendar for all audience types, prospective students, corporates, current students, staff and professionals.
• Manage the Graduation and large format conferences and events taking place on and off campus
• Enhance and coordinate the university sports and physical recreation programs
• Coordinate and create intercollegiate sports teams for a range of sports.
• Arrange/manage various Cultural events/Fashion shows etc.
• Manage/Arrange sponsorship for event
• Conduct intercollegiate sport tournaments
• Develop an recreational and sports program that provides informal opportunities for sport, structured events, tournaments, sports meets, recreation events, outdoor programs and other events.
• Work closely with faculty and staff across the University to deliver ‘events on demand’, understanding what will work for the program target audiences, working to deliver something different.
