Assistant Professor
Ms. Annie Threse Edwis is an experienced academic professional with over 23 years of teaching experience, including 15 years in the UAE, specializing in Electronics Engineering, Computing, and Technology-related disciplines. A PhD is currently being pursued at BITS Pilani, Dubai, alongside a Master of Engineering in Communication Systems from Anna University, India.
Since August 2021, association with the University of Stirling RAK Centre, UAE, has included the role of Module Co-ordinator and Co-Teacher for the University of Stirling Bachelor’s programmes, alongside functions within the Internal Quality Assurance Department as Assessor, Internal Verifier, and Data Manager for Advanced Diploma Programmes. Prior to this, the role of Assistant Professor of Electronics Engineering was held at Birla Institute of Technology, Ras Al Khaimah Campus, with extensive teaching experience across higher education institutions in India before that.

Active contributions to academic research and professional development span publications, conference presentations, and workshops. A recent publication includes research on reconfigurable antennas presented at an international conference and published by Springer Nature Singapore in 2025, alongside participation in various national and international conferences and technical workshops related to communication systems, robotics, and emerging technologies.
With extensive academic and industry-oriented teaching experience, contributions continue to advance student learning, academic quality assurance, and applied technological education at the University of Stirling, RAK Campus.
