Assistant Professor
Dr. Brumancia Easpin is an Assistant Professor at the University of Stirling, Ras Al Khaimah Campus, UAE. With 18 years of teaching experience across India and the United Arab Emirates, she has developed expertise in Computer Science, Information Technology, and Software Engineering. Her academic interests include curriculum development, student mentoring, and interdisciplinary research. Her teaching approach emphasises creating engaging learning environments that equip students with the knowledge, skills, and professional values needed for successful careers in computing.
She holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering, a Master of Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), reflecting her commitment to excellence in higher education teaching and learning.
She has held academic positions at the University of Stirling, University of West London, and Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology. Throughout her academic career, she has contributed to programme coordination, academic quality assurance, accreditation, assessment, and student mentoring, while undertaking leadership roles including Year Coordinator, Placement Coordinator, ERP Coordinator, and Faculty Coordinator for NBA and NAAC accreditation. She currently serves as a member of the Internal Quality Assurance Department (IQAD) and the Exam Cell at the University of Stirling, contributing to assessment integrity and continuous quality enhancement.
Her teaching areas include Software Engineering, Database Systems, Data Structures and Algorithms, Programming (C, C++, Java, and Python), Computer Systems, Cyber Security, Theory of Computation, and Mobile Application Development.
Her research focuses on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Data Fusion, Wireless Sensor Networks, the Internet of Things (IoT), and Cloud Computing. Her work examines intelligent and secure computing approaches for data-driven systems and emerging technologies. She has published more than 40 peer-reviewed journal articles, IEEE conference papers, and book chapters, and serves as a reviewer for international journals published by Elsevier and Springer. These contributions have been recognised through a Government of India innovation patent (2023) and the High Impact Factor Publication Award (2019).
