Dr. Brumancia Easpin

Dr Brumancia Easpin is an experienced academician, researcher, and higher education professional with 18 years of academic teaching experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, and Software Engineering across India and the UAE. Dr Brumancia currently works as an Assistant Professor at the University of Stirling – RAK Campus, UAE, from September 15, 2024, to present.

A PhD in Computer Science and Engineering was earned from Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, India. Research expertise includes Data Fusion, Wireless Sensor Networks, Machine Learning, Data Science, and IoT, with MOHESR Equivalency in the UAE also applied for. A Master’s Degree in Computer Science and Engineering was completed, alongside strong academic foundations in Programming, Algorithms, Software Engineering, Database Systems, Computer Systems, and Emerging Technologies. A Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering was also earned. Dr Brumancia is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), reflecting a commitment to excellence in higher education teaching and learning practices.

Reviewer roles have been served for reputed international journals including Information Sciences (Elsevier), Cluster Computing (Springer), and The Journal of Supercomputing (Springer).

Several recognitions have been received for academic and research contributions. A patent titled “An IoT Based Integrated Health Monitoring System of Bulk Milk Cooler” was approved under the Kapila Scheme Fund by the Government of India in April 2023. Recognition was given for exceptional contribution as a Primary Evaluator in Toycathon 2021, organized by the Ministry of Education, India, and the High Impact Factor Publication Award was received in 2019 for research contributions. Students were also supervised and mentored in the successful implementation of the project “Web-Based Application Software for MTC” for the Metropolitan Transport Corporation, Tamil Nadu Government, Chennai, India.

In addition to teaching and research, extensive experience spans academic administration, curriculum development, student mentoring, project supervision, quality assurance processes, accreditation documentation, and outcome-based education practices, with numerous undergraduate and postgraduate projects and dissertations successfully supervised and guided. Multiple academic and administrative roles have also been performed, including NAAC and NBA Faculty Coordinator, Timetable and ERP Coordinator, Year Coordinator, Class Counsellor, and Module Coordinator.

Dr Brumancia has organized and actively participated in a wide range of professional development activities, international conferences, faculty development programmes, and workshops for faculty members and students, with a strong focus on innovative teaching methodologies, student-centered learning, academic quality enhancement, and interdisciplinary research in emerging technologies.
