Prof. Dr. Rajesh Subramanian

Dr. Rajesh Subramanian is an Associate Professor at the University of Stirling, Ras Al Khaimah Campus, UAE, and an internationally recognised academic leader with more than three decades of experience in higher education across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Namibia, Botswana, Eritrea, and India. His expertise encompasses academic leadership, digital transformation, quality assurance, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, research, and technology-enhanced learning, underpinned by a strong commitment to developing globally competent, future-ready graduates.

He holds a PhD in Information Technology, an M.Phil. and M.Sc. in Computer Science, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (PGCHE). He is currently pursuing postdoctoral research and holds professional credentials including ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, Six Sigma Green Belt, Internal Auditor Certification, and a Diploma in Relational Database Management Systems.

Throughout his career, Dr. Subramanian has held senior leadership positions, including Professor and Dean Academics, Deputy Director of Academic, Research and Quality, Founding Dean, and Quality Assurance Manager. He has established international university campuses, led institutional transformation, strengthened academic governance, overseen accreditation and quality enhancement, and implemented enterprise-wide ERP and digital initiatives that have enhanced institutional performance, operational efficiency, and student success.

His teaching portfolio includes Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Information Security Management, Business Intelligence and Big Data, Project Management, Databases, Programming, Algorithms, Systems Analysis and Design, and Research Methods. Recognised for his innovative, student-centred approach, he integrates emerging technologies, authentic assessment, and industry-informed practices to prepare graduates for the evolving digital economy.

Dr. Subramanian's research focuses on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, enterprise systems, digital transformation, ERP risk management, and quality assurance in higher education. His work has been published in IEEE Access, Scopus-indexed journals, and leading international conferences. He has supervised undergraduate and postgraduate research and continues to mentor emerging researchers while fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, innovation, and industry engagement.

An accomplished academic leader and invited international speaker, Dr. Subramanian has delivered keynote addresses, faculty development programmes, and professional workshops worldwide. He also serves on accreditation panels, academic boards, advisory councils, curriculum development committees, and research committees, contributing to academic governance, institutional development, and educational excellence. Through his leadership, research, and industry engagement, he continues to advance innovation in higher education while preparing graduates to excel in an AI-enabled global society.
