Dr. Sunil Kumar C.T.

Dr. Sunil Kumar C.T. is the Academic Director at the University of Stirling Ras Al Khaimah Campus, UAE, with more than 24 years of combined industry and higher education experience across India and the UAE. His work focuses on academic leadership, finance and accounting education, research-led teaching, industry engagement, and the development of practice-ready, globally competent graduates.

He holds a Ph.D. in Management with a specialisation in Finance, an M.Phil. in Management, a Master of Science in Consultancy Management, and an MBA in Finance. His professional credentials include ACMA & CGMA from AICPA & CIMA, Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant from IMA, USA, Senior Fellow of Advance HE, UK, Fellow of the Association of International Accountants, Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment, UK, Member of the Institute of Public Accountants, Australia, Associate Financial Accountant UK, and Full Member of the American Accounting Association. He is also a Recognised Tutor for ICAEW CFAB and holds the Certificate in International Financial Reporting awarded by ACCA.

Dr. Sunil has held academic and leadership roles at Amity University Dubai, Birla Institute of Technology, Ras Al Khaimah, and other reputed higher education institutions in India. He has also been associated with leading international universities in the UAE as a visiting faculty member. His teaching areas include Accounting and Finance for Managers, Corporate Finance, Financial Management, Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management, International Finance, Financial Markets and Derivatives, Foreign Exchange Management, Banking and Risk Management, and related business disciplines.

His research interests include international finance, exchange-rate dynamics, foreign exchange markets, macroeconomic policy, oil-price volatility and its impact on GCC economies, current account deficits, sustainable finance, financial analytics, and AI-enabled business decision-making. His scholarly contributions include publications in internationally recognised indexed journals, case studies published through The Case Centre, UK, and papers presented at international conferences.
