Annual Health Check-Up & Awareness Camp (in collaboration with SWC)

Annual Health Check-Up & Awareness Workshop Conducted Successfully at UoS RAK in Collaboration with NMC Royal Medical Center

The University of Stirling – Ras Al Khaimah successfully hosted its Annual Health Check-Up & Awareness Workshop, organised in collaboration with NMC Royal Medical Center, Ras Al Khaimah, and supported by the Staff Welfare Team. The initiative aimed to promote preventive healthcare and encourage a proactive approach to personal wellness within the campus community.

As part of the workshop, participants availed free medical check-ups, including General Practitioner (GP) consultation, blood pressure (BP) assessment, Body Mass Index (BMI) measurement, and random blood sugar testing. These essential health screenings provided students and staff with valuable insights into their personal health metrics.

General Practitioner doctors from NMC Royal Medical Center were present to offer medical guidance, clarify health concerns, and recommend lifestyle practices to support long-term well-being. Their expertise helped participants better understand their current health status and the importance of regular health evaluations.

The workshop received positive engagement from both students and staff, reflecting a strong interest in maintaining a healthy and informed campus environment. By combining health awareness with accessible medical services, the workshop successfully reinforced the importance of preventive healthcare as a key element of overall wellness at UoS RAK.
