The University proudly organized a successful Blood Donation Drive on 12th November, in partnership with Emirates Health Services and the Staff Welfare Committee. Held on campus from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM, the drive saw enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and staff, demonstrating the strong spirit of community service within our campus.
The primary objective of this initiative was to contribute to the nation’s healthcare system by fostering a culture of voluntary blood donation. Through this drive, the University aimed to raise awareness about the lifesaving impact of blood donation and encourage individuals to make meaningful contributions toward community wellbeing.
Representatives from Emirates Health Services were present throughout the event, ensuring a smooth, safe, and well-coordinated donation process. Their professional support empowered participants to donate with confidence and learn more about the significant role blood donation plays in emergency medical care, surgeries, and ongoing treatments.
The drive concluded successfully with the collection of 44 units of blood, a remarkable achievement made possible by the generosity and willingness of the university community. Each unit collected represents hope for patients in need and reinforces the University’s commitment to supporting national healthcare priorities.
Beyond the donations themselves, the event also sparked valuable conversations around the importance of regular blood donation, encouraging many first-time donors to continue contributing in the future.
This initiative reflects the University’s dedication to fostering a culture of empathy, service, and civic responsibility. Collaborations with leading institutions like Emirates Health Services highlight our ongoing efforts to create opportunities where students and staff can engage meaningfully with their community.
As we look forward to future health and wellness initiatives, the University extends sincere appreciation to all volunteers, donors, committee members, and partners who made this drive a success.
